Join the IN crowd

Last week Thursday I attended Philadephia's Premiere Networking Event, The IN Crowd. The event honored bloggers Curran SwintMohammad Shariff and  Carisha Simmons (not pictured). Each blogger was recognized for their hard work and achievements in Philadelphia's fashion community. The networking event also featured a fashion show, displays from vendors and designers along with live demonstrations on hair and makeup.

Check out a few pics from the fashion show after the jump.

Suitable Wardrobe

The crisp look in this inspired menswear ensemble is serving a clean line of femininity. I always wanted to wear an all white loose pant suit at an all white affair. I'm sure I can execute this same look by wearing spring/summer soft and bold colors. Although Mary-Kate wears her suit with a pair of flat sandals, this picture still gives me the " I just left from a meeting while having lunch" look.

Stripe A Pose

What does a girl do when she wants to wear Spring's bright and bold colors but color blocking is just not her forte? Right, she'll stripe a pose.

So, take out your (what should always be stored in your closet no matter the season) stripe tee, boatneck top, bandage skirt, tube dress or what I've grown to like, '70s modern bodysuit.  Then  pair it with colors like cobalt blue, hunter green or a bright orange, similar to the orange starburst. I'm even feeling the new neon colors paired with black and white stripes. Now if this look doesn't tickle your fancy, then click here to get 10 easy ways to incorporate some sunshine into your wardrobe.

Side note: I really wanted to route you guys to a previous post I did (click here) but it looks like all of the pictures are gone bye, bye (insert sad face here).

Fashion Design Expo Miami

Fashion Design Expo Florida "Let the Runway Meet The Cause" for Alonzo Mourning's Overtown Youth Center was held on April 28-29th at the Newport Beachside Resort. The event, which originates in Florida celebrated their fifth year of production and serves as a platform for up and coming designers to showcase their current collections. We decided to partake in Friday night's show which featured an interesting array of collections by some emerging and well known designers that have been in the game for 20 years.

Garbage Gone Glam

The highlight of our night was the beautiful but "trashy" pieces by rising designer for the line  Garbage Gone Glam. They wowed us with their intricate details and really made us think more seriously about recycling. This was our first year attending the expo and based on what we saw Friday night, we will definitely be returning next year.

I will be going to my hometown, Miami in a couple of weeks and I 'm trying to choose a nice bright color for my nails. Thanks to my fellow stylish blogger Mariloe and talented photographer blogger at The Good Good Blog I found two colors that caught my eye.
Which one should I get?

Haute Five- Topshop shopping list

Haute 5 Topshop Spring Fav

It is officially Spring and online stores like Topshop knows exactly what the consumer wants. Let's start by storing your black faux leather's and replace it with an 1.Ivory Drape Crepe Tux Jacket. Be trendy by adding this season's bright colors with  2.Script's Hi Vamp Wedges or try a 70's inspired look by pairing your high waisted flared denims with a 3.Black Leather Lazer Cut Fringed Bag. A fashionable dude by the name of Bill Blass once said,"When in doubt, wear red" hence the 4.Red Belted Pleat Front Tapered Trousers. Last but not least, what would Spring be without a 5.Floral Chiffon Dress Wal G?

Have you started your Spring shopping? What trendy pieces will you incorporate into your wardrobe?

AmareSinh F/W 2011 LookBook

This collection gives me an edge on Zara's chic approach of versatility. I'm in love with their red flap front trousers (which also comes in grey) and the black and gold button up shirt with a sweet detail of a bowtie. Click here if you missed the video I post on my PFW Roundup of  AmareSinh Fall/Winter 2011 runway and here to view more of their  Lookbook.

Herway>Runway

I don't want to say I told you so but....
I told you so!!!
Remember when I did a post here and said I can see J.Lo wearing this exact Gucci dress?
Well, I guess I told you!

Jennifer Lopez was spotted in Gucci's Spring 2011 collection at  the 1st Annual UNICEF Women of Compassion Luncheon yesterday in Los Angeles.
