Ladies, have you been a victim of grabbing anything with a leopard print?
I know I have.
I tried on a pair of Steve Madden Trouserls prior to my trip to Miami. Mind you, I swore to NOT buy anything else that had brown and black spots, especially since I recently purchased a pair of Sam Edelman leopard slingbacks (shoes mentioned here and worn here). Fortunately, the sales rep was wearing the last size and like every rep they try to push the
"Oh, we can order it for you online with free shipping!"
smh
I had to hold my composure and pass, I didn't want to be "conned" by the leopards.

So tell me, are you guilty for being Leopard- Conned?

Stripe A Pose

What does a girl do when she wants to wear Spring's bright and bold colors but color blocking is just not her forte? Right, she'll stripe a pose.

So, take out your (what should always be stored in your closet no matter the season) stripe tee, boatneck top, bandage skirt, tube dress or what I've grown to like, '70s modern bodysuit.  Then  pair it with colors like cobalt blue, hunter green or a bright orange, similar to the orange starburst. I'm even feeling the new neon colors paired with black and white stripes. Now if this look doesn't tickle your fancy, then click here to get 10 easy ways to incorporate some sunshine into your wardrobe.

Side note: I really wanted to route you guys to a previous post I did (click here) but it looks like all of the pictures are gone bye, bye (insert sad face here).

Fashion Design Expo Miami

Fashion Design Expo Florida "Let the Runway Meet The Cause" for Alonzo Mourning's Overtown Youth Center was held on April 28-29th at the Newport Beachside Resort. The event, which originates in Florida celebrated their fifth year of production and serves as a platform for up and coming designers to showcase their current collections. We decided to partake in Friday night's show which featured an interesting array of collections by some emerging and well known designers that have been in the game for 20 years.

Garbage Gone Glam

The highlight of our night was the beautiful but "trashy" pieces by rising designer for the line  Garbage Gone Glam. They wowed us with their intricate details and really made us think more seriously about recycling. This was our first year attending the expo and based on what we saw Friday night, we will definitely be returning next year.
